Noir is a very interesting genre of film in that many experts all disagree as to what a noir film actually is. Many experts argue that only black and white noir films can be considered noir while others may disagree, some people think that to be a noir film it had to be made in the 1940s-1950s while others think that a film created in the early 1960s such as. These disagreements by different experts makes it harder to pinpoint exactly what a noir film is. Noir is often in black and white and is about crime although some experts may disagree with this analogy.
